Vintage 1970’s Rare CorningWare “Le Romarin” Casserole Dish - A-10-B - 2.5L
A phenomenal find for Corning Ware collectors, or vintage cookware enthusiasts who appreciate quality craftsmanship. L’Echalote La Sauge, or Spice of Life, design is the second most-produced CorningWare pattern and is one of the rarest today. In the earlier Spice of Life casserole dishes, you’ll find one of three inscriptions just below the veggies. These are French phrases – La Romarin, L’Echalote, and La Marjolaine. For this reason, these earlier “Spice of Life” patterns are often called “French Spice”.
The stamp is on the bottom of the dish as opposed to underneath the handle on the newer dishware. Stamped "A-10-B 9 3/4 x 9 3/4 x 2 CORNING WARE For Range and Microwave USA" This dish comes with the original Pyrex lid, stamped on the lid, and is in Excellent condition.
